Xbox and Doritos have Joined Forces in Mexico

Yes, this exists, but you have to go to Mexico to get it.  This is actually one of 6 known variations.  Even doesn’t have Sabor Chiles Ahumados.

Microsoft Studios and Xbox have kicked-off a major marketing campaign to generate interest in their upcoming XBOX ONE X console.   Frito Lay’s Doritos will contain codes for prizes and other considerations.

There is no word yet as to when these bags will be made available outside of Mexico.  It is typical for food manufacturers to have limited, regional test-bed for certain new flavors.  Mexico has in recent years seen a steady increase in video game console sales.  Xbox 360 has dominated Latin America for years and this latest X Console will test Microsoft’s strength in an area where the average monthly income is just over $800 USD…not far off the speculated Price of the Xbox One X.

This is the box that will be promoted for the new marketing campaign.  For the price of the new console, they better have those bags of  Sabor Chiles Ahumados.

Pokémon Go Fest Chicago Issues Addressed by Niantic CEO John Hanke

correspondents were among the 20,000+ who attended the Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago.  They reported that although the event was a great chance to meet fellow Pokemon fans, it was plagued with a few technical issues.  The biggest problem was that service and connectivity would not allow users to access the game in the vicinity of the event.

Niantic CEO John Hanke issued a statement:

“Technical issues with our game software caused client crashes and interfered with game-play for some users. The game-play issue was resolved with a server configuration change and the crashes were also addressed for many but not all users.” Hanke explained.

“A more protracted problem was caused by over-saturation of the mobile data networks of some network providers. This caused many attendees to be unable to access Pokémon Go or other Internet services. Network congestion also led to a login issue which affected some users able to access the Internet.” he continued.

He added, “Real-world events are core to the Niantic mission of exploration, exercise and social interaction. We’ve been doing events since the early days of Ingress in 2012.  Last Saturday was not a happy day for us but so that we can continue to build experiences that bring together people, technology, and the real world in innovative ways.”

So many things…

So today has been a rather trying but rewarding day for the site.

For one reason or another, the main Xbox we use decided it wanted to get drunk last night.  Today, when anything we tried to open whether it was an APP, GAME, WHATEVER it kept freezing and occasionally getting Error 0x8027025a.  THIS on a day when Xbox Users began to have access to Bungie’s Destiny 2 Beta Test.

After LITERALLY 4 hours and 3 XBOX Live Representatives later, we had to do a Complete System flush.  Thanks Microsoft Studios for your tomfoolery and shenanigans.

Good things on the horizon:

According to Fed Ex, our sweet new PC should arrive tomorrow.  This means that we can finally get back to editing videos for the WeirdosXxXx YOUTUBE channel.

We did get through the DESTINY 2 BETA and will be uploading plenty of screenshots and play-through videos.  The game was not a far departure from the Original Destiny, and we mean the early days!  We’re working on a review but so far, the Destiny Kool-Aide is running through our veins!

NOT just another gaming site.
